Review - A Beautiful Wedding (A Beautiful Disaster Novella) by Jamie McGuire

You know that Abby Abernathy unexpectedly became Mrs. Maddox. But what do you really know?

Why did Abby pop the question?
What secrets were shared before the ceremony?
Where did they spend their wedding night?
Who else knew about it . . . and didn’t tell?

Everything about Abby and Travis’s elopement was top secret…until now. Fans of Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster will get all of their questions answered in this whirlwind tale of the wedding day (and night!)—and as with all good stories, this one will definitely have been worth the wait.

*****NOTE ~ I do my best not to include spoilers in my reviews, but I couldn't properly review A Beautiful Wedding without them. If you don't like spoilers, PLEASE STOP READING and come back once you've read it. Thank you! *****

So, my first thought after reading A Beautiful Wedding was NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I don't want it to end! I love Travis and Abby! This was a great addition to their story. A Beautiful Wedding opens just after the fire at Keaton Hall and Abby thinks up the crazy idea to get married right away in order to protect Travis from the possibility of being arrested as a suspect. Travis knows Abby is holding something back from him, but he's also excited about finally marrying his "Pidge" and he's afraid that she might change her mind. Once they arrive in Vegas, they both have thoughts about whether they are rushing things. A Beautiful Wedding made me laugh and cry. I loved finding out the reasons for them getting married right away. The worry (will Travis be implicated in the fire), the anxiety (is getting married right now the right thing to do), the love (Abby and Travis' for each other as well as the love from Travis' mother in the letter she wrote to "the future Mrs. Travis Maddox" and the laughter (Travis' bachelor party), it just poured off the pages. If I used a rating system for my reviews, I would give it a 10 out of 5, that's how much I loved it. If you're a fan of Beautiful Disaster and Walking Disaster, you are definitely going to want to pick this up.
