Blog Tour, Guest Review & Giveaway - Twisted Together by Pepper Winters

I am excited to be a part of the Twisted Together Blog Tour for Pepper Winters. We've got all sorts of goodies for you today - trailers, excerpt, giveaways and one awesome review from my girl Mandi. (She finally talked me into reading book one of the series this past week and got me hooked.)

"After battling through hell, I brought my esclave back from the brink of ruin. I sacrificed everything--my heart, my mind, my very desires to bring her back to life. And for a while, I thought it broke me, that I'd never be the same. But slowly the beast is growing bolder, and it's finally time to show Tess how beautiful the dark can be." Q gave everything to bring Tess back. In return, he expects nothing less. Tess may have leashed and tamed him, but he's still a monster inside. After surviving the darkness, a new dawn has begun. Twisted Together wades through black to grey, chasing the light of true love to banish the shadows forever. Pain is a requirement, connection a necessity. But ultimately Q and Tess must face their demons, before they can embrace their future.

I looked at my wrist, tracing the numbers beneath the barcode and sparrow. I’d once been merchandise for sale. But then the winds of fate changed and blew me straight to Q. His cage became my home. His love became my wings. I became his bird through and through. Tears pricked my eyes. I was so utterly happy, so faultlessly content, so completely complete.

OK ladies I’ve warned you before about my swearing especially when it comes to Peppers books but this time I really mean it! There’s no way that I can get through to you how brilliant this f**cking book is without vulgarity. *shrugs* It cannot be helped and I will not take the blame for it. I will however blame the ridiculously, insanely talented mind of Pepper who, know it or not, is now my friend for LIFE! Throughout my entire reading of this dark and twisted tale of deliciousness I was in contact with Pepper threatening bodily harm. In fact I think my exact words were “Do not make me take my Yank ass Down Under to shake you.”  I’m not sure if she was afraid or not but I was beside myself and needed to at least try.
Much like the other two books I cannot go into great detail without giving everything away and nobody likes that a$$hole right?! I can tell you that this book is a perfect combination of TOT and QQ when it comes to the level of darkness. It is one of the longest books I have ever read and yet I feel like I blew right through it, turning pages like they were on fire to see what in the mother f*ck she could possibly think of next. This woman’s mind is so… I don’t even know how to describe it. For a person to create such unbelievable madness and magic with their words astounds me and leaves me breathless and in complete awe.

It is no secret how much I love Q and Tess however, if I thought that I loved them before it has nothing on the depth of feelings I have for them after reading Twisted Together. The growth that these two exhibited was fantastic. Even in her weakness Tess is strong, a warrior. She fights herself more than any other evil and with every battle fought and won she comes out just a bit stronger, a bit more deserving, in her eyes, of a man such as Q until there is not one part of her that doesn’t deserve every part of him.

Q ahhhhh, Q. This man does stupid things to me and my lady bits no matter what he’s doing or saying. Especially if he’s doing or saying it in French. His love for Tess is the sexiest thing I’ve ever witnessed and the lengths in which he goes to heal her and show her just how deep his love for her is, is EPIC. Here is a man who sees himself as a monster and all I see is a loyal, faithful, fire breathing conqueror. He vanquishes everything Tess fears whether that fear is him or not. He is perfection in every way no matter how twisted seeing him as such makes me.

So we’ve talked about my deep love for those two but I haven’t mentioned how in love with Franco the trusted badass “kill for you” right hand me I am now. Franco and Q’s bromance makes me giddy. GIDDY. Every word out of Franco’s mouth was obnoxiously highlighted by me with a little note that said “I love him.” His loyalties have been split between the two most important people in his life now and his dedication makes me love him even more. He goes above and beyond and promises both of them that he’ll give his life to protect them. How can that not make you swoon? Tess and Franco have a bond that drives Q a little crazy but neither of them cares; I think they love it personally. I’m just gonna throw this out into the universe and hope someone *cough, Pepper, cough* listens. I NEED A FRANCO STORY. That is all.

Alright I think I’ve kept my vulgarity to a minimum throughout this whole review. YAY me! All joking aside I truly feel that this is Peppers best story yet. It gave me the feels and it gave them to me HARD. I was never bored and never ever skimmed, speed reading may have occurred over sensitive areas that I NEEDED to know about but, I went back and read it again in its entirety so that’s OK. Tess and Q have a love like no other and it is beautiful to see the lengths that they will go to for one another. This is definitely a tissues and Xanax book with some of the hottest sex scenes I have ever read. EVER.  The strength and growth in these two as individuals and as a couple is amazing and I couldn’t love them any more than I already do. Well that’s a lie because I loved them more with each book Pepper has written so maybe…..

Pepper Winters wears many roles. Some of them include writer, reader, sometimes wife.

She loves dark, taboo stories that twist with your head. The more tortured the hero the better and she constantly thinks up ways to break and fix her characters. Oh, and sex… her books have sex.

She loves to travel and has an amazing, fabulous hubby (who speaks French—hot!) who puts up with her love affair with her book boyfriends. She loves to hear from her readers so hit her up at pepperwinters@gmail.com
