Blog Anniversary Celebration Day 4 - Molly McAdams, Molly E Lee and A Giveaway

Welcome to day 4 of my blog anniversary celebration. Today I am featuring 2 more of my favorite authors, some fun facts about each of them and another giveaway for you.

If you missed any days you can check them out. All giveaways are open until Sunday.

Day 1
Day 2

First up is Molly McAdams. Molly is the first author I can recall who made me afraid to start not one but two books. I started following Molly on Facebook before I ever read Taking Chances. I was afraid to read it because of comments I'd seen. When I did finally read it, it took me through an emotional wringer and I was hooked. It did take me weeks to pump up the courage to get past the cover and read Stealing Harper when I pulled it up on my Kindle. Molly was also one of the first authors I had the pleasure of meeting early on. I told her I had to hug her for making me cry so much. LOL I'm not picking a favorite Molly series because I love them all but I will recommend that if you haven't read her books, start with Forgiving Lies. It's the first book I read where I loved the heroine as much as I loved the hero.

Favorite line you ever wrote?
“It felt like our bodies were a battle of the brightest day and the darkest night—and I wanted to lie in the wake of their war.” – Blackbird

If you had a personal slogan, what would it be?
Live Life Awkwardly

If you wrote a book about yourself, what would you title it?
Haha! I don’t even have to think about this one. This one word, hashtag and all, describes me so well. #Rambler

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a mom. That’s it. I had the fleeting dreams that all children do—a singer, an actress, etc.—but I distinctly remember, even in kindergarten, wanting to be a stay-at-home mom. It lasted all the way through college. Whenever anyone asked what I wanted to do with my major, I would say, “Oh, I’m only majoring in this because it sounded interesting. I want to be a SAH mom one day.” I had goals. You know, even before I was married or engaged.

What is your favorite part of your day?
This one has been really difficult for me. I’ve changed my answer twice now.
But I think my absolute favorite part is when Man Child comes home from work and the
Monster runs through the house screaming “Daddy.” Super precious, and I know it won’t last forever because one day she’ll be so over us. So, for now, it’s my favorite.

Up next is Molly E. Lee. Molly's book, Edge of Chaos, book 1 in her Love On The Edge series, was recommended to me and I absolutely loved it.  I've devoured every book in the series as well as all of her others. She's the sweetest person and while I haven't had a chance to meet Molly in person yet, but I hope to some day..

Describe your dream vacation.
The possibilities are endless here because I'm so incredibly lucky to have the best partner in crime ever. My husband was my best friend for so many years before we got married so it's super easy to have a blast on legit any vacay we go on! We fell in LOVE with London this past year, so I would always go back there, but I would have fun exploring any other place with him too :)

If you had a personal slogan, what would it be?
"In all that you do...take it to the edge."

I actually think this quite often when I come up against a wall or risk I'm not sure about. I'm all about never giving up on your dreams or something you want. I'm also a firm believer in never settling or thinking you're not enough. So...take it to the edge. Everything. Push it until there is not a scrap of road left and once you make it there...you'll know you did everything possible to grab what you were reaching for :)

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
This is really hard for me. I'm a total Marvel nerd.
Is being Loki's a superpower?
LOL.
No?
Okay, then I wouldn't mind being a Valkyrie.
Or having an Iron Man suit.
Or being strong and resilient like Captain America...
But again...
Loki's :)

What childish things do you still do as an adult?
Lol SO many things. I have two toddlers so I color, play dress up, act out silly shows, eat sugary cereal on occasion, and play with toys. I know that is all normal mom stuff but I actually quite enjoy it :) I also watch comic book movies after they go to bed and color in my adult coloring books, too.

What was the first concert you ever attended?
There are some I was too young to remember that my parents hauled me to (Garth Brooks being one of them) but the first concert I actually remember was Deep Purple, Ted Nugent, and Lynyrd Skynyrd (the latest version not the original, obviously lol) It was for my eighth grade graduation present lol and it was certainly a blast!
After that it wasn't until I was eighteen and I saw this band in this little dive bar no bigger than a studio apartment. I fell MADLY in love with the band that played (there were no more than thirty of us in the audience) and if anyone has ever read any of my books they'll know how much I adore Blue October. I've seen them live more times than I can remember and it's always a phenomenal show. Now, of course, there are way more people in the audience :)
