Review - The Raging Ones by Krista & Becca Ritchie

Krista & Becca Ritchie bring you their first YA novel, The Raging Ones. Check out all the details below, including my review.

From New York Times bestselling authors Krista and Becca Ritchie, comes The Raging Ones, an edge of your seat sci-fi romance with twists and turns that you will never see coming!

In a freezing world, where everyone knows the day they will die, three teens break all odds.

Franny Bluecastle, a tough city teen, dreams of dying in opulence, to see wealth she’s never known. Like the entire world, she believes it’s impossible to dodge a deathday.

Until the day she does.

Court Icecastle knows wealth. He also knows pain. Spending five years in Vorkter Prison, a fortress of ice and suffering, he dreams of life beyond the people that haunt him and the world that imprisoned him.

Mykal Kickfall fights for those he loves. The rugged Hinterlander shares a frustrating yet unbreakable connection with Court—which only grows more lawless and chaotic as their senses and emotions connect with Franny.

With the threat of people learning they’ve dodged their deathdays, they must flee their planet to survive. But to do so, all three will have to hide their shared bond as they vie for a highly sought after spot in the newest mission to space—against thousands of people far smarter, who’ll live longer, and never fear death the way that they do.

I’m always hesitant to read a book that’s outside of the normal genres I read and The Raging Ones definitely fits that and it took me longer than normal to read. However, I love the authors and their other books and am always willing to read their work. I am very happy that I did. Krista & Becca Ritchie created such an intriguing world filled with some fabulous characters and a twist that I didn’t see coming. The more I read, the more I needed to know. If you are a fan of Krista & Becca’s work, or of the genre, definitely grab it up. You won’t be disappointed!

Krista & Becca Ritchie are New York Times Bestselling Authors and identical twins, one a science nerd, the other a comic book geek. With their shared passion for writing, they combined their mental powers as kids and have never stopped telling stories. Graduates from the University of Georgia in Biology and English & Journalism, the twin writing duo now lives in Atlanta. The Raging Ones is their first young adult novel.

Blog Anniversary Celebration Day 6 - Krista & Becca Ritchie, K. Bromberg and A Giveaway

Welcome to day 6 of my blog anniversary celebration. Today I am featuring 2 more of my favorite authors, some fun facts about each of them and another giveaway for you.

If you missed any days you can check them out. All giveaways are open.

Day 1
Day 2

First up is Krista & Becca Ritchie, the twin writing duo who write the most fascinating characters. They are also two of the sweetest people I've met. A friend recommended them to me. When I first started Addicted To You, book 1 in the Addicted Series, I wasn't sure about it because it was completely different from anything I had to read. I has hooked on the characters, their stories and I was so glad I took the chance. Definitely check out this and their other books!

What's your favorite love story (book or movie)?
We love a good romance movie! Our favorites are 10 Things I Hate About You -- sweet, sugary, and nostalgic -- and Call Me By Your Name, a love story that just reaches our core. We always weep like babies when the credits roll over Elio as he stares at the fireplace.

Favorite line you ever wrote?
We're both partial to a lot of lines, but one of our recent favorites comes from Damaged Like Us, the first book in the Like Us series. “We’re like lightning and thunder, inherently different but alike enough to share the same sky.” ~ Maximoff Hale

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
Hands down, teleportation! We always say it'd 100% be the best superpower. It's not only great for cutting out terribly long car rides and bad plane experiences, but it serves an even cooler purpose. Need something from the fridge but you're upstairs? Teleport. Need a stapler in the office? Teleport. Trying to find the remote but don't want to run all over the house? Teleport, teleport, teleport. It makes our lazy-selves happy.

What is your favorite part of your day?
Anytime we're with our characters and seeing them come alive.

If you were a spy, what would your alias be?
In a universe where we're cool enough to be spies (we love this already!) we'd probably choose super dorky aliases based on Harry Potter and X-Men, and we'd of course be sisters. Krista: Magik Huffleclaw. Becca: Rogue Huffleclaw.

Up next is K. Bromberg. Another awesome author who I'm happy to call a friend. She's a pro at writing books that tug at your heartstrings. The Driven series is where you should start if you've never read her. It's one of my favorite series. I'm also super excited that the first book, Driven, has bee made into a miniseries and the first three episodes premiere tomorrow, August 10th. I can't wait to watch!

What's your favorite love story (book or movie)?
The Thornbirds

Favorite line you ever wrote?
I Race You.

If you had a genie grant you wishes, what would they be?
Endless creativity and happiness.

What is your favorite part of your day?
At night after everyone has gone to bed . . . either that or early in the morning when the house is quiet and the dogs are snuggly.

If you were a spy, what would your alias be?
Kinky K

Release Blitz - Damaged Like Us by Krista & Becca Ritchie

One of my most anticipated releases for this year is live! Can't wait to dive into this new generation of the Addicted/Calloway family from Krista & Becca Ritchie.

Don’t date your bodyguard. It was the one rule he had to break. Maximoff Hale is a force of nature. A ship unwilling to be steered. Headstrong, resilient, and wholly responsible — the twenty-two-year-old alpha billionaire can handle his unconventional life. By noon, lunch can turn into a mob of screaming fans. By two, his face is all over the internet. Born into one of the most famous families in the country, his celebrity status began at birth. He is certified American royalty. When he’s assigned a new 24/7 bodyguard, he comes face-to-face with the worst case scenario: being attached to the tattooed, MMA-trained, Yale graduate who’s known for “going rogue” in the security team — and who fills 1/3 of Maximoff’s sexual fantasies. Twenty-seven-year-old Farrow Keene has one job: protect Maximoff Hale. Flirting, dating, and hot sex falls far, far out of the boundary of his bodyguard duties and into “termination” territory. But when feelings surface, protecting the sexy-as-sin, stubborn celebrity becomes increasingly complicated. Together, boundaries blur, and being exposed could mean catastrophic consequences for both.

Maximoff Hale POV

“Number twelve.” I nod to the list.
He eyes me for a long moment before focusing on the paper. “It says that you’re not used to letting other people behind the wheel.” It actually says I always drive.
I glance at him once, then back to the road. “I didn’t realize that you can’t read.” I switch lanes.
I can almost feel his smile stretch. “Always a precious smartass.” I hear him flip a page. “You have a typo on number thirty-two.”
He called me precious. What the fuck does that even mean? Precious. I have to let it go, but the word scrolls across my gaze like a tickertape banner. “What typo?”
“You forgot a comma.”
I let out an irritated groan. “This isn’t a term paper. Don’t critique my grammar.”
Farrow kicks up one of his shoes on my seat. Balancing his forearm on his knee. Then he bites the staple off and spits it out. I tense and try to watch him and the road simultaneously.
He has a very particular way he moves his hands. They shift with meticulousness and care. A sort of accuracy that belongs to surgeons and someone equipped to disassemble and reassemble a gun blindfolded.
I’ve imagined those hands on me too many times to count. Don’t fucking restart now. I’m trying not to, but having him this close, the NC-17 fantasies vie to breach the surface. Heat blankets my skin and tries to grip my cock.
Thumbing through the papers, Farrow tells me, “You’re about to miss our exit.”
“Shit.”

Review - Infini by Krista & Becca Ritchie

“Don’t have a best friend that’s a girl” — this was the advice from my older cousin. I didn’t take it. Because he followed with, “friends don’t f*ck friends. And you’ll want to f*ck her.”

It was terrible advice.

My cousin should’ve told me that being best friends with Baylee Wright — since she was twelve — would be the best and worst decision of my life.

He should have told me to protect her from what was coming.

He should have told me that when a darkness crawled towards us, there’d be no safety net.

Now I’ve signed back on to the same Vegas acrobatic show as Baylee, working together for the first time in years. And she tells me that she’s having trouble in a certain “area” of her life — because of our past.

“You can help me fix it,” she says.

And then she hands me a list.

Already being a huge fan of Krista & Becca Ritchie’s work because of their Addicted/Calloway Sisters series, I wasn’t surprised when I enjoyed Amour Amour just as much. Fast forward to now and they just released the second book in the series, Infini. I never knew the circus could be so exciting. Krista & Becca have created a wonderful world of imagination, intrigue, family bonds and love. In Infini we meet Luka, part of the famous Kotova family. We got a glimpse of him in Amour Amour, book 1, but there’s so much more to him than you see on the surface. Between circus drama, family drama, reconnecting with Baylee and forces that are determined to hurt rather than help, Infini will grab you by the heart and hold you captive until the very last page.

Promo Tour & Guest Post - Fuel The Fire by Krista & Becca Ritchie

So, I have this awesome friend, Misha, who I like to call my book pusher because she's always telling me that I need to read this book or that book. Sometime last year she said, you need to read this book called Addicted To You and she gifted it to me. I'm sad to say it sat on my Kindle for the longest time. A group of my friends had recently been talking about the series, too. So last month I was flying home from Austin, TX and I had finished my current read and was looking at my books and saw it sitting there, so I jumped in. As Misha was sitting next to me on the plane, she wholeheartedly approved. LOL To be completely honest, it took me a little bit to get in to the book because it was so completely different from anything I had ever read. But, OMG, once I did I was absolutely hooked. I devoured the entire Addicted/Calloway Sisters series over the next two weeks. Seriously, I am completely hooked and over the heels in love with this series and Krista and Becca are pretty awesome too, especially when I fan girled all over them via email when I finished Addicted After All. So, needless to say, I'm so freakin' excited to be a part of the tour for Fuel the Fire! If you haven't read this series, you should definitely check it out!
